Considering a Tom Howley kitchen alternative?

If you have visited Tom Howley and are now comparing kitchen designers, Sheraton Interiors offers another route to a bespoke or Shaker kitchen. Start with what you liked about the design, what you would change and the specification you have been quoted.

Discuss your kitchen project

Luxury of London kitchen by Sheraton Interiors
A Sheraton Interiors project; not a kitchen supplied by the comparison brand.

Begin with your own brief

A useful alternative does not have to copy the first design you see. Bring your room plan, the features that matter to you and any Tom Howley quotation you are entitled to share. We can discuss our own design approach and prepare a proposal around your home.

Tom Howley is a separate business. Sheraton Interiors is not affiliated with or endorsed by Tom Howley. This guide does not claim that our cabinetry, materials, prices or service terms are identical.

Compare the things you will live with

  • The layout: preparation space, storage access and circulation when more than one person is cooking.
  • The cabinet construction: in-frame, in-frame effect or lay-on, together with the specified door and carcass materials.
  • The detail: paint finish, bead profile, handles, internal fittings and end panels.
  • The surfaces and appliances: exact products, model numbers and the installation work included.
  • The practical scope: delivery, fitting, services, building work, disposal, VAT and aftercare.

Explore Sheraton designs before your appointment

Our classic and Shaker collection is the starting point for painted cabinetry and traditional detailing. Explore in-frame kitchens and beaded Shaker design if those features are central to your brief. For a different visual direction, compare our contemporary kitchens.

See Luxury of London and Making A Statement in our project portfolio. Save the details you like so the discussion can be specific.

Ask for a clear written comparison

A lower headline figure does not necessarily mean better value, and a higher one does not explain what is different. Check each quotation against the same brief and ask suppliers to identify exclusions and substitutions.

Use our bespoke kitchen cost guide to organise the budget discussion. We do not publish a blanket saving against another company: the comparison depends on the individual design and current written quotations.

Arrange a local design conversation

We design kitchens across London and the Home Counties from our Twickenham and Slough studios. Slough is by appointment. Request a quote review to discuss an alternative proposal and the next step for your project.

If the painted finish is what drew you to Tom Howley

Tom Howley presents a curated hand-painted kitchen colour collection on its own website. If that finish is a major part of your decision, identify the qualities you want to retain: the colour in your light, the surface texture and how it works beside the worktop. See Tom Howley’s own description of its painted kitchens.

For a Sheraton alternative, ask to compare physical finish samples. Similar colours in online photographs may look different in the room. Review the sample vertically and horizontally, against the floor and the proposed surface, at more than one time of day. Ask how touch-ups, cleaning and any future refinishing would be handled for the specific finish you select.

Separate the room’s composition from the brand’s colour names

A contrast between pale perimeter cabinets and a darker island can be developed in different ways. Our Luxury of London project is a useful reference for that relationship. Note the scale of the island, the tall cabinetry and the view from the dining room, then explain which parts suit your own home. A colour match alone would not recreate those relationships.

Three decisions to bring to a second design meeting

  • Which features are essential: a dresser, pantry, island, particular door proportion or painted appearance?
  • Which parts of the first proposal would you change after imagining everyday cooking and storage?
  • Which costs in the written quote relate to cabinetry, surfaces, appliances and the wider installation?

These answers give a second designer a clear brief without assuming that a differently named range is an equivalent product.

How much does a Tom Howley kitchen cost compared with a Sheraton proposal?

A useful price comparison starts with current, itemised quotations for your room. We cannot establish another supplier’s project cost from its brand name or a photograph. Ask what the quoted figure includes: cabinetry, worktops, appliances, delivery, fitting, VAT and any building or services work.

Bring the written specification to a Sheraton quote review. We can prepare our own proposal and explain any differences in the design and scope. Our bespoke kitchen cost guide helps you organise the budget discussion; it is not a price list for Tom Howley.

Your questions, answered

Can you compare a Tom Howley quotation?

We can discuss an alternative Sheraton proposal alongside the specification you provide. Please include the layout and scope; we cannot establish equivalence from the total price or brand name alone.

Will you reproduce the original design?

We develop our own proposal for your room and brief. You can explain the features you liked, but we do not promise to copy another supplier’s design.

Are the kitchen prices directly comparable?

Only after checking scope, construction, finishes, appliances and installation. Any difference should be explained against the written quotations.

Can I visit before deciding?

Yes. Contact us to arrange a design discussion at Twickenham or an appointment at Slough.
